This list is not an agreement or a set of rules enforced upon the Coalition. Instead, people join the coalition because they already have this mindset or aspire to.
- Resisting is who we are, not what we do. It is our lifestyle, habit, personality, not a chore or a hobby.
- Doing a small resistance every day can cause a culture shift that cannot be attained by doing a big resistance every month.
- We study how to cause a social change just as much as what social change needs causing.
- We learn to do, not learn about doing.
- We do not laud big words and big analyses. We value experience of changing people’s minds over job titles or PhDs.
- We do not praise the analysis of how the oppressive systems could be dismantled. We appreciate experience of resisting, e.g. getting the manager to end the meeting on time, the friend stopped pressuring you.
- We do not believe in published written history, including autobiographies. We value homemade zines and self-published materials, and we trust the teachings we learn by being around those who have come before us.
