The Coalition of Ordinary Resisters is a response to an overwhelming request from ordinary people who work toward extraordinary changes.
Our goal is to be ordinary. If one of us becomes extraordinary, to us it means they failed to bring everyone else along with them.
Today, “anti-oppression” seems to focus on the biggest atrocities and big actions. History does not support this approach.
We, the Coalition of Ordinary Resisters (CoOR), believe that extraordinary changes come from the accumulation of ordinary resistance.
CoOR (sounds like “core”) is about resisting every day in everyday moments. We hold educational seminars, rallies, and direct action as the extension of our resistance, not the centre of it.
