The Coalition of Ordinary Resisters is a response to an overwhelming request from ordinary people who work toward extraordinary changes.
Today, “anti-oppression” seems to focus on the biggest atrocities and big actions agains them.
We, the Coalition of Ordinary Resisters (CoOR), believe that extraordinary changes come from the accumulation of ordinary resistance. We adamantly disagree with the premise that someone who can’t organize enough to manage a neighbourhood racist can dismantle the centuries-old white supremacist institution.
CoOR is a group of people continually acting on change in everyday moments. To us, educational seminars, rallies, and direct action are the extension of the everyday resistance, not the other way around.
